We have a vast library of training materials for the latest versions of PeopleSoft Financials, Supply Chain and Human Capital Management modules. Training materials typically consist of any combination, or all, of the following:
- PowerPoint presentations with instructor notes
- In-class exercises – client-specific scenarios taken from functional analysis/design sessions
- Job-aids – laminated handouts with common information that can be referred to quickly at your desk
- Quick Reference Guides/Student Manuals – these guides may, or may not, be necessary
- Computer Based Training (CBT) that can be distributed to new members on CD-ROM or via the internet/intranet
- Populating and testing the training database(s) with training data
- Training Evaluations
Instructor-led Training - Instructor-led training is structured training in a classroom setting to a group of employees. The standard instructor-led sessions will consist of a primary and secondary trainer facilitating lecture, system and process demonstrations, detailed exercises and activities for end users to perform in the training database instance, facilitating Q&A from end users, and providing information on available support options. The following are components of instructor-led training:
- Instructor’s Materials - The Instructor Materials contain key information that guides the instructor through a classroom training session. The Instructor Materials will consist of learning objectives, benefits of the new system, new vocabulary, new business processes, and guided activities/exercises that include your specific scenarios and materials, review questions and a course summary.
- End User Materials - The same content will be used to create the End User Materials from the Instructor Materials so that they will contain almost exactly the same information. One set of End User Materials will be developed for each classroom and workshop delivered course.
- Training Database(s) - The training database enables the students to practice the job tasks and skills needed to perform their jobs using the new system in a safe environment. The training database will contain appropriate data to provide “real” scenarios. The training database(s) will be created from one of the central databases that contain all of the modifications. After each course session, the database(s) will be refreshed so that the same activities and exercises can be performed in every session of a given course.
- Computer Based Training/Web Based Training (CBT/WBT) - For training classes that will be widely distributed to thousands of end users, it sometimes is more efficient, and just as effective, to develop and distribute a CBT/WBT class. This is an entire class developed for delivery to end users via a CD-ROM or via the internet/intranet from your website or internal network, depending upon the access required.
- Custom Online Help - We can build custom Online Help files, made available to end users through the portal or your network containing your process and procedure information created and compiled from the project’s process documentation, system test scripts, training presentations, and through support and follow-up issue documentation. Depending upon the modules being implemented, creating customized online help eliminates the need to sift through the generic content, paper training materials that may have changed since attending training, and can be kept up-to-date with the latest developments and functionality available in the system. This solution would require licensing of the Online Help Development software tools.
- Job Aids - Job aids are paper-based materials that assist employees in performing key functions and tasks after training is completed. Job aids may include function keys and toolbar buttons, how to sign on to the system and access online information, who to call for support, etc.
All of this documentation is delivered in “vanilla” form. However, for more effective training we will work with you to customize this training to accommodate your own business process, procedures, etc. If requested, we will also work with you to customize your training work plan and overall project timeline to ensure we deliver the training you need, when you need it, and to the correct audience.
