Main Purpose
The SAP Technical Consultant will perform SAP technical consulting services to public sector organizations, including K-12 school districts, and state and local government clients.

Job Functions

• Create thorough technical design specifications for interfaces, conversion programs, reports and modifications.
• Develop and test applications based on a fixed development budget.
• Communicate technical issues to the Technical Leader and Project Management.
• Help apply fixes and SAP Updates.
• Design, configure, and maintain appropriate supporting landscape architecture including, but not limited to, SAP Web Application Server, Central Instance and RDBMS.
• Prioritize and oversee activities of others to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Directly supervise or coordinate the work of other team members.
• Manage individually assigned tasks to completion while providing consistent and timely status to the team lead.
• Coach junior team members and foster an active learning environment.
• Provide advice on methodology, procedures, functionality, and work methods to colleagues.
• Establish good rapport and nurture lasting relationship with the client.

Required Qualifications for a Consultant

• Minimum of at least 2 years of SAP R/3 experience
• Experience with at least one full mySAP Business Suite implementation
• NetWeaver experience (Exchange Infrastructure, Business Intelligence, etc.)
• ABAP Programming Experience
• Experience in 2-3 of the following areas: Performance Tuning experience, Authorization/Security in R/3 or BW or APO or Portals, Central User Administration, Transport Management System, Internet Architecture, SSO, Certificates and LDAP
• Strong SQL knowledge (SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2)
• Willingness to travel

Desirable Qualifications, Skills or Experience

• SAP Certified Consultant
• Prior consulting experience, particularly Big 5
• Prior public sector experience
• Upgrade experience R/3 or BW or APO or CRM or EBP ITS
• SAP Workflow experience
• Experience with other major ERP packages (PeopleSoft, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Spanish language fluency
• Project Management experience
